About Microfinance Program
Dhaulagiri Community Resource Development Center, (DCRDC) has been started Saving and Credit program since 2054 with the partnership of Micro-credit project for women. After the phase out of this project DCRDC has decided to continue the saving and Credit (Microfinance) program due to the following reasons, one is the demand of the clients who are already participated in the MCPW and the another is the huge success of the this program and this impact in the economic condition of the poor and landless people. DCRDC has been taking the license of Financial Intermediary from Nepal Rastra Bank in 2058 and have taken the loan from RMDC, DCRDC has launched Microfinance program to rendering the services to the poorest of the poor of the rural areas people who have no access to formal financial services.
Introduction:
Microfinance means providing very poor families with very small loan (micro credit) to help them engage in productive activities or grew their tiny business. Microfinance program has been successful to create a track record in delivering microfinance services to poor and disadvantaged household. DCRDC has focused primarily on delivering saving and credit activity, complemented with other community development activities (ICS/SSMP/Livelihood Improvement Program) to those who have no access to formal financial services. DCRDC has organized different types of capacity building and entrepreneurial skill development training to the clients with the partnership of Micro Enterprise Development Program (MEDP), Myagdi from the support of UNDP.
Objectives:
The main objectives of the microfinance program of DCRDC Baglung is to improve the economic condition of the rural areas people by rendering microfinance services and empowered them to invest in income generating activities.
Achievement:
Within a few year of its operation, microfinance program can achieve its twin goals of sustainability and outreach. DCRDC has providing microfinance services through 5 branch offices (Baglung, Myagdi, Parbat, Gulmi, Argakhanchi and Kaski) in 54 VDCs. The active clients of microfiance program has been 5758, out of them 3733 have taken the loan from DCRDC for different business motives. The total loan disbursement up to this year has been Rs 263,549,292. Out of total loan disbursement Rs 221,698,617 has been recollected and thus remaining a total outstanding of Rs 41,850,675. The total saving amount of the client has been reached Rs 17,147,457. The intervention of this program has proved that the poor women even using small amounts of credit can shape their lives dramatically.
Dhaulagiri Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Ltd. (DLBSL)
Introduction:
Dhaulagiri Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Ltd. (DLBSL) is a micro finance institution licensed as a national level “D “class financial institution from Nepal Rastra Bank, the central bank of Nepal. Established on 3rd July 2018 as a Public Limited Company under Company Act 2063 of Nepal and licensed from the Central Bank of Nepal on 19th Feb 2019, its head office is at Balgung Municipality 2 Shreenagar Tole Baglung. It aims to provide banking services to the rural unbanked population and contribute to the overall poverty reduction program through increment of production and productivity of rural Nepal.

To be pioneer micro finance institution committed to improving quality of life through the provision of inclusive & sustainable microfinance service to the economically disadvantage people of rural & semi urban area of Nepal. Other hand the vision of DLBS is to contribute for the reduction of poverty in Nepal through the micro finance service.
Mission
Facilitating the sustainable accessibility of the economically active poor” under saved in rural, urban and semi urban areas” to financial services by expanding & developing the micro finance service.

Reach a maximum number of poor households with potential and financial viability. Develop a well-managed institution with high staff morality.
